Great Deal for a mantel but its unfinished not white like in their photo

Well worth the Money compared to other mantles of the same quality. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it comes completely unfinished: we're talking bare wood. I'm aware it says "unfinished product" in the description but after viewing the photo I assumed maybe it came with a white primer or something. Installation is easy enough. You just need to purchase some wood screws liquid nail & brad (finishing) nails. It comes with the rectangular block you need to mount to the wall first (using wood screws & liquid nail) then you attach the mantel cap/shelf to the block using liquid nail & the finishing nails. Its recommended you pre drill some holes in the top of the shelf to put your brad nails through to attach it to the rectangular block. That way you don't risk splitting the wood. Last 2 steps are to use a "nail set" or a punch to gently tap the brad nails below flush of the top of the shelf and then just paint it. The instructions are included & explain everything pretty clearly. It definitely needs to be painted with a color so you can't see the wood type/wood grain. I believe the top piece is MDF (fiberboard) & the rest of the shelf is a different type of wood. It looks very nice though. Smooth nicely sanded sturdy etc. Delivery was incredibly quick: Ordered on a Sunday & it was delivered by Tuesday even using the standard shipping. These are the real deal screws. Nothing like em anywhere. Seller shipped fast. Other similar screws are weaker and nothing drives in as well as the

Phillips Square drive system. I have purchased over 300 dollars worth of these from this seller recently as the local home stores only offer a lesser quality screw with a worse tip arrangement. These can be removed reliably as the other brands break at a rate of 50% when removal from treated wood.

It's the ONLY brand I'll use for treated decks so I stocked up to prevent having to pick up another brand if I was out of these good ones. I have used these for years with no problems.More detail ...

This is a great product! We removed a one piece tub unit and wanted to replace it with a tiled shower with a seat. Being relatively handy but still amateurs this product was perfect for us. The gates were fairly easy to put up but buyers should realize that if they want to mount an inward-opening gate between 4x4s that is flush with the rest of the fence (like the one shown in the photo) that additional 2x4s and shimming are required. Screws too small for pegboard.

There is indeed a great assortment of hooks but the screws are necessary to hold them in they must go on the top as the way the hooks are bent. The screws are about one size to small for pegboard and easily pull out appear to be 7/32 and need to be at minium 9/32. I have not tried the smaller screws provided for the 1/8" pegboard. I would avoid these and get the type that do not require screws.More detail ...

Good cheap easy but check prices

Bought this from Home Depot for a little over 40 dollars. I had already put foam insulating tape around the edges of the attic pull-down stairs but the attic door cover was at least 20 degrees colder than the ceiling around it. I used the wonderful Black & Decker TLD100 Thermal Leak Detector to check the temps. Once I installed the Insulator the temperature difference went to less than 2 degrees difference from my celing.



The product is very easy to install and very easy to move out of the way when needing access to the attic. You unfold it and let it rest on the attic floor around the opening for the stairs. And it is less than half the price of the Battic attic insulator. This product is a no-brainer.



The price currently shown for the product is about $18 more than other places online so check around.More detail ...
